Government remains the largest purchaser in economies worldwide, including India, where public procurement accounts for 15-25% of GDP. With India's economy now at approximately USD 4.2 trillion—having crossed USD 4 trillion in FY25-26—this equates to annual public procurement of USD 630-1,050 billion.

Electrical

Electrical equipment includes equipment used, designed to be used, or installed for use, to conduct, control, convert, distribute, generate, measure, provide, rectify, store, transform, or transmit electrical energy. In Oil & Gas, major electrical equipment are Motors, Transformers, Switchboards etc. These items are governed by EN ISO/BIS standards.

Instrumentation

Governed by EN ISO/BIS standards, Instrumentation includes sensing & control devices for process parameters such as pressure, temperature, liquid level, flow, velocity, composition, density, weight; and mechanical and electrical parameters such as vibration, position, power, current and voltage.

Fabricated Equipments

These are static equipment that are designed, fabricated, tested & certified in accordance with ASME/TEMA standards. Equipment viz. Reactors, Columns, Pressure Vessels, Spheres, Mounded Bullets, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Air Fin Coolers constitute the Fabricated Equipment family.

Rotating Equipments

These are the mechanical equipments that use kinetic energy to move fluids, gases, and other process materials and are manufactured in compliance to API standards. These include, but are not limited to, engines, compressors, turbines, pumps, generators, blowers, and gearboxes.

Piping

Piping is a system of pipes used to convey fluids (liquids and gases) from one location to another within the process plant. Process piping consists of interconnected piping systems such as tubing, pipes, pressure hoses, valves, separators, traps, flanges, fittings, gaskets, strainers, etc and complies with various ASME standards

Packages

A package is a system that includes components from multiple areas such as piping, instrumentation, control and electrical, as well as structural and mechanical elements. Packaging also implies the coordination and responsibility for integrating all these components into a unified whole, including design, engineering, construction, and assembly and testing.

Fire Fighting

Fire prevention, protection, and mitigation measures are considered to be of utmost importance and Oil & Gas establishments/plants have specialized fire safety needs. They install extensive fire protection equipment which includes fire water systems, foam fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and fire alarms.

Pipeline

Cross Country Pipeline comprises of Line Pipes,i.e., Submerged Arc Welded Pipes (Longitudinal SAW/Helical SAW) or Electric Resistance Welded Pipes or Seamless Pipes, Long Radius Bends, Scrapper Trap & Pig Launcher, Sectionizing Valves, Mainline Pumps or Compressor Stations, etc. The design of these cross-country pipelines is governed by API.

Lab Equipments

Lab equipment refers to the various tools and equipment used by professionals working in a laboratory for the evaluation of properties of raw material, and/or final products. The classical equipment includes tools such as microscopes and specialty equipment such as operant conditioning chambers, spectrophotometer, and calorimeters, etc.

Upstream

The upstream items comprises of various articles/commodities/items involved in searching for potential underground or underwater crude oil and natural gas fields, drilling exploratory wells, and subsequently drilling and operating the wells that recover and bring the crude oil or raw natural gas to the surface.

Retail Outlet Items

Retail outlet items to dispense petroleum products (Motor Spirit & High Speed Diesel) like Multi Point Dispensers (MPD), Submersible Turbine Pump (STP), Underground Tanks etc. and allied visualization products which includes Canopy, High Mast Emblem, Monolith etc.

City Gas Distribution

City Gas Distribution refers to the infrastructure involved in providing natural gas to domestic household use; commercial use in hotels, hospitals, restaurants, and offices; transport sector use in automobiles.

This group lists down the items, types of equipment, packages & accessories utilized for safeguarding the environment from byproducts of Oil & Gas establishments.
